Cluster Flies

Cluster flies start entering properties in the Autumn to survive the winter, normally in loft spaces, around wooden or sash windows or, in vacant rooms.

After carrying out an initial survey to confirm the problem, we can treat cluster flies with an Ultra Low Volume (ULV) sprayer which stays in the air for approximately an hour. It has a ‘knock down’ affect on the flies and then settles in all cracks and crevices which continues to have a residual effect.

We can also treat using a water-based sugar and insecticide solution which when sprayed on to surfaces will attract the flies. Dependent on the location, amount of dust and even the weather, it is possible for the residual effects to last several weeks.
