Memberships and Qualifications | Mid Wales and Borders Pest Control

The Royal Society Protection of Health (RSPH) Level 2 in Pest Control. This is the recognised standard for entry into the pest control industry. Includes legislation, identification of insect and mammals, their life cycles, correct application of pesticides/rodenticides, and developing an integrated pest control programme that takes into account proofing/good housekeeping and the application of modern and traditional techniques.

Further training and work experience with Shropshire County Council Pest Control Department.

Shotgun and Fire-arms Certificate and membership of BASC (British Association for Shooting and Conservation).

DSC (Deer Stalking Certificate) Level 1 which has an emphasis on weapon safety.

Full member of BASIS Prompt. Full members are Professional Pest Controllers who have achieved a recognised level of competence and continue to keep up to date through a regular CPD (continued professional development) activity.
